The Clay Target Team
Welcome to the University of Tennessee at Martin Clay Target Team web site. The UTM Clay Target Team features individual and team competition in American Trap and Skeet and International Trap and Skeet as well as Sporting Clays and other shotgun shooting sports. Our emphasis is on training for the evolving sport of collegiate shotgun competition and participating in local, regional, and national events as well as collegiate events.
About Us
The UTM Clay Target Club was formed in November ‘06 with 15 members. At the end of the spring semester 08 there were 50 + members in the club. The Clay Target Team was formed by members of the club who wanted to develop a competitive unit that was capable of competing with teams from other colleges and universities. The “official” start of the team was the fall 08 semester at UTM. At this time team members made a commitment to devote time and energy to hone their skills to a level that would allow them to compete with other teams at the highest level of collegiate shotgun sports.
