Join UTM Recycles! in celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day!
UTM Recycles! will hold events all week during
Earth Week (April 19-24, 2010).

Incorporate re-used or re-claimed materials to create a piece of visual art such as:
Sculpture or Painting or Collage or Textile or Fashion or Functional Pieces

Dates and Location: Exhibitors will bring their work to the Paul Meek Library (UTM) Monday, April 19 between 2pm and 6pm, unless other arrangements have been made. Artwork will be on display until Sunday, April 25. Exhibits must be removed by Monday, April 26, 2010. Winners will be announced April 24 during the Earth Fest activities at the UTM Recycling Center.

Rules:

1. Incorporate some recycled/re-used/re-claimed/re-purposed materials to create a piece of visual art, such as paintings, collage, sculpture, textile, fashion or functional art.
2. The piece should be appropriate for public display, and if there is any question it will be up to the discretion of the organizers.
3. One entry per person. If a team wants to submit a piece in the college division because they are not a student organization and they win a prize, the team must figure out how to split the prize. A person can submit an individual piece and work on a piece for a student organization.
4. Please submit online form by April 19, 2010 at bottom of page (but the earlier the better) so that we can plan display.
5. There are no restrictions on size of the pieces. No entry fees.
6. Categories: (These categories are open to any student in any school district.)
